CHALLENGE

Biomes carries out intestinal flora analyses based on stool samples. A kit for self-testing at home allows an analysis of the DNA of intestinal bacteria using the NGS method and an evaluation with nutritional recommendations. The topic is relatively little known, but can make a decisive contribution to a healthier life.

STRATEGY

A balanced microbiome (intestinal flora) is vital and largely depends on what you eat. The state of the microbiome in turn directly influences a person’s physical and mental well-being. An analysis of the intestinal flora can reveal deficiencies that can be corrected with a balanced diet. Our strategy highlights this dynamic and brings the topic to a wider audience.

SOLUTION

Our campaign draws on the company’s research base, though is complemented with data from a tailor-made survey conducted by our opinion research partner. The results feed opinion articles on selected topics (e.g. insomnia) with up-to-date information. Thought leadership articles explain the technology and the scientific basis behind it. Interviews help to make the topic understandable for the target audience.

RESULTS

Nearly 6 clippings per month on average. Media presence in the wellness sections of various national newspapers (e.g., ABC) and lifestyle magazines (e.g., Yodona, Hola).
